STUDIO CHIZU’s films continue to be endearing long after their release. In this album, a special songbook presented by Masakatsu Takagi, who composed the music for three of Mamoru Hosoda’s six feature films, namely “Wolf Children”, “The Boy and the Beast”, and “MIRAI”, five songbirds wrote lyrics to Takagi’s melodies that grace the movies to breathe in new lives.  The result is a series of unique collaborations of Masakatsu Takagi’s free and beautiful piano and the guest vocalists, all surrounded by nature. The songs invite the listener into a new world.

My dream of 13 years has finally come true.
While creating music for Mamoru Hosoda’s film, the “songs” flowed through my mind.
After drifting about for a long time, wondering how I could get in touch with the “songs,” I had wonderful encounters one after another; I am very happy with the outcome, an album of “songs.”
